The graph represents the amount of free time of people in a regular week, according to their occupation status and gender from 1998 to 1999.
Looking from an overall perspective, employed people have a lesser amount of leisure time to enjoy, while retired and unemployed people can enjoy almost twice of that to rest. It is worth noting that regardless of employment status women tend to have more work to do.
It is noticeable that retired and unemployed people have way more free time to enjoy compared to other categories, almost having 80 hours per week for recreational activities with women having slightly less time for that. By contrast full time employed people have least time available to rest, roughly 50 hours per week for males and 40 hours for females.
Part time employed women have marginally more free hours compared to full time employed women. However there is no information about males, who work part time. It is worth noting that housewives have less free time than retired and unemployed people.
