The two schemes portray substantial modifications implemented in the structure of a library between 2004 and 2014.
The primary difference occurred in ten years, evolving around the central area of the library where the fiction, seating area and displays are located. Although displays stay unchanged, the seating area was displaced to the top of the map and witnessed reasonable expansion. Two fiction shelves were modified by dividing into romance and thriller fiction and were removed in front of the resting area in 2014.
It is also clearly discernible that IT area have enlarged significantly by 2014.
Whereas in 2004 computers lay solely next to the right wall, on the second scheme they stretched out along the corner and emerged on the left half of the library (reducing the children’s area dimensions). Besides shifts and expansions there are a few eliminations. For instance, the issue desk was obliterated entirely (a quiet area showed up in its place).
Overall, a substantial redevelopment of the library during the 10-year period from 2004 to 2014 is immediately apparent. A myriad of changes, replacements and novelties have improved the library structure crucially.
