Dear Pat,
I hope you’re doing well.
I’m writing to thank you for letting me stay at your place for the weekend. I had a great time. We should do it again, soon. Maybe at my place next time, I’ll be happy to have you over. Unfortunately, I have bad news.
Today it was raining, and I couldn’t find my coat. Then I remembered that I must have left it at your place. Could you please check for it? Since it was sunny on the weekend, I didn’t wear it, and I must have forgotten to take it back. I recall hanging it on the hook behind the door in the guest’s room, where I slept. It’s a long navy blue classic style coat, with golden buttons. Also, I might have forgotten my camera inside the pocket, but I definitely left my work-pass ID badge in the right pocket, as I was wearing it to work on Wednesday.
I want to ask you a favor. Can you please send me the coat by courier? As I urgently need my ID badge for identification. I’ll pay you back with my mom’s cookies, the ones you love!
Anyway, I had a great weekend, and can’t wait to see you again.
Love.
Fatima.
