The given line graph illustrates the number of visitors from other continents to three different areas in one European country over a period of 20 years.
Overall, it can be observed that the coastal area retained its popularity, while the popularity of lakes outperformed the mountain’s recognition at the end of the period. Moreover, coastal areas remained the most visited areas for most of the period, while the opposite was true of the mountains.
At the beginning, the lake was the most unpopular area among overseas visitors, approximately 10 thousand visitors in one calendar year whereas the coastal area had 4 times that of its indicator. However, in the period between 1987 and 1992, while the lake’s visiting numbers were steadily increasing, the coastal area faced a decline. As a result, it leads to a convergence where both places had probably 31 thousand visitors. After that, they diverged, but after 3 years they conversed again and had approximately 60 thousand tourists.
In contrast, the lake had 20 thousand visitors in 1987 and gradually increased till the 1997 and represented 28 thousand visitors. However, after that, it faced 5 year declination which almost decreased the figures like at the beginning of the period. Next, it continued to rise steadily till 2007 and showed 30 thousands tourists at the of the period. In addition, it’s figures conversed with the mountains figures in 1988. However, after that, the lake figures continued to rise steadily while the mountains popularity witnessed a sharp rise, which lead to instantly diverging.
