The Diagram shows the filteration process of sea water through membrane filtration at high pressure. Overall, the salt concentration removed by pre treatment and post treatment after that drinkable water is setored into storage tank.

Firstly, salty sea water is allowed to enter into pre treatment filer then water forced through membrane at high pressure. After that, membrane filter removed salts from it and then forced to post trestment where water is treated with lime chloride and fluride.

There is a filter backwash also which helps to return extra water to sea. Finally, filtered water is alloed to enter into storage tank for drinking.
