Dear, Megan

I am writing to you in order to tell you due to a crucial wedding party of my cousin I have to change the date of my visit to your hometown.

I am really sorry about this situation but we are very close with my cousin and I must be at his wedding ceremony. You know that cultural traditions like these parties are very instrumental in my family. Before booking the ticket I really did not know about his wedding, my parents forgot to aware me.I hope you will understand me. As the wedding ceremony on April 25 I can change my ticket to April 27, if is it OK to you to meet let me know, please. Maybe I can change it easily if you will answer to my letter as soon as possible.

I hope you will not upset with this, and you will answer me regarding to my question about changing the date.
