Dear Sir or Madam,

As a resident in the greater Melbourne region, I am writing this to bring to your attention that the bus service in my area has become unreliable.

There are several issues with the service that I can share from my personal experience. Firstly, the buses are rarely on schedule, and in one instance the bus broke down, leaving me and several other passenger stranded in the middle of no where. Several other residents have observed a reduction in the active buses on the road.

This unreliablity has affected us residents severely, leading to missed trains and frustration is rising amongst the community due to the lack of buses on the road. It is a nightmare for people who do not own a personal vehicle, as they are solely dependant on the public transport, many of these residents have also said that they missed their essential medical appointments because of this.

It is understandable that there can be staffing issues, however this can be tackled if the transport department pushed to hire more staff. Moreover, the buses need a regular and reliable maintenance to prevent them from breaking down again. Lastly, the scheduling process can also be improved with the use of artifical intelligence, as current process is unreliable.
