The line graph illustrates monthly gold sales in Dubai in 2002, measured in millions of dirhams.
Overall, gold sales fluctuated considerably throughout the year, reaching a peak in March and sharp drops in the middle of the year, before showing a gradual improvement towards the end of the year.
According to the data, gold sales stood at 200 million in January and slightly increased to around 220 million in February. This upward trend continued, reaching a peak of 350 million dirhams in March. However, during the following four months, sales dropped dramatically to approximately 120 million, which is the lowest point in the given year.
In the later months, sales showed some recovery, growing minimally to just over 200 million dirhams in August. Followed by a rapid drop to the 120 million mark in September. From October onwards, sales slowly rose and remained stable at around 180 million in December.
