The map shows the difference of Tiden airport between 1985 and 2015. In the mid 80’s, the Airport area was based on more production companies, which indicates it might have been pretty far from the city center. On the other side, the airport became an international airport. Place of tourist accommodations were made available, more business companies, etc.
The first map illustrates how small was the facility, with factory by its side. Nonetheless, the 2015 airport is arranged compared to the old one. New runway was built in the middle, under it International terminal was changed from square shape to letter P shape laying around Domestic terminal’s west side. Car park has gotten bigger. Airport support services was in the mid-east side, now it is in the opposing side. Furthermore, Bus and Light rail station was put on the old place of Airport support services. Johnson’s farm is gone, became a business park and housing state. Two factories turned into Airport support service and Hotel and Conference Centre. A small light rail was added for the bus.
Overall the airport became very modern, not clumped up with other facilities.
