The line graph illustrates the number of three types of book ( children’s books, adult function and educational books) which were sold from 2002 to 2006 in one country. Units are measured in million dollars.
Overall, the sales of children’s and educational books were increased over the period given, while for adult fiction, it rose. At the start of period, adult function was the most popular book. Educational books was not stayed stable in the middle of the period, but , by the end, children’s books were the most consumed at the end of period.
With regards to the number of children’s books were marketed, it began at around 34 million dollars and then grow about 42 million dollars; after that increased slightly in 2005 before rising dramatically to about 58 million dollars in the last year. Likewise, approximately 25 millions dollar of educational books was sold in the first year, after which the figure remained relatively stable, with minor fluctuations between 2003 and 2005. Then trend go up virtually 32 million dollars in 2006.
On the other hand, the sales of adult function only started with higher trend in 2002 at about 58 million dollars. This figure, which fluctuated slightly in middle of three years. Then fells slightly in the final years to 30 million dollars in 2006.
