The maps illustrate the changes that took place at Liverpool John Moores University between 2010 and 2016.
Overall, the university campus became considerably more developed during this period. Several buildings and car parks were removed or replaced, while a number of new facilities, including a science building, a café and a bus station, were added. The library was also expanded to include an IT suite.
In 2010, the library was located in the north-western part of the campus, with Biology, Chemistry and Physics buildings situated to its east. A car park was positioned further east, while another car park could be found in the south-west. The Administration Building occupied the south-eastern corner. A road connected the two car parks and ran through the central part of the campus.
By 2016, the three separate science buildings had been replaced by a single Science building in the north-east. The library had been extended and renamed the Library & IT Suite. In addition, a café was built in the western part of the campus, while a bus station was introduced further south. A Lecture Theatre was also added beside the Administration Building. Meanwhile, the two original car parks and the road had disappeared, and a footpath was constructed around the main facilities.
