The bar chart illustrates the collection of waste materials, namely paper, glass, tins and garden waste at a recycling center from 2011 to 2015. Units are given in tons.
Overall, the amount of paper and tin wastes experienced a significant increase throughout the period, while that of glass and garden wastes fluctuated gradually. In addition, paper waste accounted for the largest figure, whereas garden waste made up the smallest amount of waste.
To start with, in 2011 paper waste stood at just below 60 tons and this figure dropped significantly to 40 tons in 2013 before reaching the highest point in final year, peaking at 70 tons of waste. Similarly, tin waste started at around 35 tons in 2011 and in following year had a considerable decline to around 27 tons, but this figure grew gradually and by the end of the period accounted for almost 40 tons.
However, the collection of glass and garden wastes fluctuated over the period, stood at almost 50 and 30 tons respectively in the first year and in 2015 these figures finished almost at the same points compared to first points, accounting just over 50 tons for a glass waste and at around 35 tons for a garden waste.
