While drama, comedy, and fantasy had risent from approximately 26% to 35%, 20% to 25%, and 12% to 16% respectively, romance’s percentage persisted on approximately 7% in both 1996 and 2006.
The same pattern can also be seen in the second graph, where drama, comedy, and fantasy’s percentage rise from approximately 16% to 17%, 20% to 28%, and 4% to 7% respectively, while romance stood out with its difference, having a decrease in its percentage from 5% to approximately 2%.
From the bar charts, it is interesting to note that while drama films had the most release in both 1996 and 2006, the most favored film genre in 1996 and 2006 on the other hand was comedy films.
