The chart shows the recycling rates of specific materials of unnamed country covering the period of from the 1982 to 2010. The material under the study were paper and card board, glass containers, aluminium cans and plastics. Throughout this period, the recycling rates have exhibited an overall increase except for paper and card board but in proportion it has a leading position with a rate of over 65%.
Reusing rate of aluminium cans and plastics have shown an increase over the study period. It grows from 5% in 1986 to 45% in 2010 for Aluminum cans and for the later at a slightly increasing rate of 3% in 1990 to 9% in 2010.
The paper and card board suffered the ups and downs of rates. At first, in 1982 it shows abrupt increase of 5% form65% in just over 4 years and dipped in the same way back to 65% in 1990. Then showed an appreciable rate of 80% in the following four years. from this point onwards, it continuously declined to 70% in 2010. The rate for glass containers has fallen from the beginning 50% to 40% in the first eight years. Ever since, it has a grown steadily up to 60% in the final year of study.
