The figure shows the recycling rate of different materials in a country between the years 1982 and 2010. According to the figure, one may have an idea about that particular country’ recycling habits over the time.
Paper and cardboard are reused roughly about 70 percent over the years. This materials’ bring back to the life rate was increased between 1982-1986 and 1990-1994. However, in the other time periods percentages of recycling for that materials was decreased. This material has the highest recycling rate among the others in the figure. On the other hand, even it shows a decrease till 1990, glass containers’ ratio of recycling have an upward characteristics over the years between 1990-2010. Nevertheless, the percantages of recycling glass materials are allways slightly below than the paper and cardboard. That put glass in the second place in the recycling race.
Altough, it started from a low tendency to be reused, Aluminium materials show a promising rise in the cycling. The journey began at 1986 with 5% and climbed in a value of 45% by the 2010. That is the most dramatic change in the figure.
Lastly and leastly, plastics are also show an increasing trend in their ratio of recycling. However, it still has the lowest rate among the others. The percantage stays below 10 between 1990-2010.
To conclude, the figure demonstrated recycling habits of a country. Which have ups and downs in different materials cycling rates.
