The graphs show information on life expectancy in 2008 and this indicator’s increase during the period between 1996 and 2008 in four different countries. Overall, Japan is a highlight with the highest life expectancy on the graph. As for the increase in people’s lifespan, Indonesia saw the most considerable upward trend over the years.
Considering life expectancy, Japan had the highest number at 82.7 years, followed by Korea at 79.2. The third position was held by the United States with a figure of 77.2 years, while Indonesia had the lowest average length of life at 70.9 years, compared to other the countries on the graph.
Turning to the table, Indonesia witnessed the highest increase, by 14.1 years until 2008. The second position was held by Korea with 9.3 years that increased considerably over the past 12 years. Regarding Japan, this country saw modest increase of 5.1, while the United States showed the lowest increase of 3.2 years.
