The given bar chart depicts the number of visitors from three countries travelling to Australia between 1995 and 2005 whilst the line chart illustrates the number of vacationers who use both types of holiday.
Overall, although Japan initially had a far higher number of tourists than the other countries, the trend reversed by the conclusion of the time. Additionally, throughout the period, tourists constantly preferred to stay at resorts.
According to the bar chart, 1,500,000 Japanese traveled to Australia in 1995, which is twice as many British as traveled there. The number of UK travelers, however, subsequently increased dramatically to about 1,500,000 in 2005, which was also the US visitors in the same year. However, nearly 500,000 Japanese tourists stopped choosing Australia as their trip destination in 2005.
In terms of the two types of travel, only 250,000 people went backpacking in 1995, despite over 1,600,000 people preferring resorts for their vacation. Following that, both numbers increased gradually at the same pace, however, the number of people staying in resorts peaked in 2000 at over 2,500,000 before dropping at just over 1,000,000 at the end of the decade which was equal to the other kind.
