The two maps provided compared the changes in a library between 1975 and the present.
Overall, as can be seen from the maps, the most significant changes are the appearance of computers and shared areas.
To be specific, in both 1975 and at present, some areas in the library have stayed unchanged over the years. The Children’s book section is still located on the southeast corner, and the bookshelves area near the toilet (is still located) on the southwest. Similarly, the toilet and the entrance, which are on opposite sides, have retained their original positions. There is no change in the location of the library desk.
However, several changes have been made to develop the library. Firstly, the books and magazines area to the west of the entrance has now been replaced by the computer section. On the other side, there used to be two sections of new books; the one on the left has now been changed into wheelchair access, while the other one remains. Secondly, the coffee area has also been added where the other bookshelves section used to be. Additionally, the shared areas have been moved to the empty space between the children’s book section and the library desk along with new tables and chairs.
