The line graph provides information about how the average time that sort of car production namely General Motors, Ford, Toyota, and Honda spent on manufacturing vehicles at their US factories between 1998 and 2005.
Overall, there was a significant decrease in the amount of time consumed car production in all four sectors. However, General Motors had the highest figure throughout the year.
General Motors spent the highest amount of time creating cars, starting at 32 hours per vehicle in 1998, after which it witnessed a progressive fall to 22 hours per vehicle in 2005. Similar changes can be seen in the figure for Ford, it surpassed General Motors in the following year, it saw a significant increase to 31 hours per vehicle in 2001, before decreasing to 22 hours per vehicle in 2005.
Turning to the two remaining brands, Toyota and Honda share similar beginning from 22 hours per car. Meanwhile, Honda and Tokyo experienced an upward trend until 2001, after increasing to 24 hours per car in both Tokyo and Honda in 2002. Finally, there was a continued decrease to 2005 in both categories.
