The graph depicts the data regarding the average time allocation for vehicles manufactured by 4 different producers at their US factories from 1998 to 2005.
Overall, the chart highlights a downward trend shown in the examined figures. However, the most notable key changes are presented in the proportion of General Motor, compared to the others.
To commence with, the figure for General Motor led first with 32 hours in 1998, followed by Ford, Toyota, and Honda with 28, above 22, and 22 hours, respectively. Similarly, these figures remained their rank relatively stable in 2005 with 22, under 22, and near 20 hours, in turns.
Moreover, Toyota and Honda’s statistics had opposite patterns, with the former decreasing to under 20 hours in 2001 after going up to 23 hours in 1999 and Honda increasing to about 22% in 2001 after falling to 20 hours in 1992. This trend continued until 2002 prior to declining together in the end. In addition, while the average time spent of General Motor plunged to 22 hours in 2005, that of Ford soared to around to 29 hours in 2001 prior to going down to near 22% in 2005.
