Overall, the percentage of Australian exports to Japan and the US decreased, while the opposite was true in the cases of China and India. Besides, India was the smallest goods important market for Australians throughout the period.
Looking at the two more popular types of places, there were about 26% of Australian exports to Japan, which was higher than that of the US, at just over 10% in 1990. The number of Australian exports to Japan declined gradually to a low of about 18% and the US about 5 % between 1990 and 2010. In 2010-2012, the data of Japan remained relatively stable toward the end of the time frame, while that of the US increased slowly by around 2%.
Moving to the two remaining kinds, the number of Australian exports to China and India were similar, at just over 3% and at just under 3% in 1990. After 20 years, both China and India were similar increased trend, but the percentages of Australian exports to China rocketeer than India, China’s importance rose significantly from just over 3% to about 25% and that of India remained the same before climbing slowly from about 3% to 7%. In the next two years, the figures of Australian exports to China continued to increase from about 25% to around 28% while that of India reduced slightly by about 2%. exports to China reached the highest point about 28% in 2012.
