The maps compare the transformation in the layout of a university’s sports court.
Overall, the sports court has experienced significant alterations in its arrangement, becoming more convenient and modern. These changes include several facilities, such as a fitness centre, basketball court, and indoor pool. However, these alterations come at the expense of a park and a car park.
In 1990, the university offered a limited range of facilities. A car park was in the southwest, while a double tennis courts lied directly in the southeast. There was a reception in the center, with a changing room to the south of it, and a cafe was placed to the north. A park was positioned in the northwest, whereas the northeast was occupied by an outdoor pool.
At present, the arrangement of the sports court has undergone significant changes. The tennis courts in the southeast have been demolished to give way to a new fitness centre. Following this, the changing room has expanded eastwards. Although the reception and cafe have remained unchanged, the outdoor pool has been converted into an indoor pool. The car park has been turned into four tennis courts. Finally, change has included the destruction of the park to build a basketball court.
