The two pie chart illustrate the avarage household expenditures of Japan and Malaysia in the year 2010 in five different category.
Overall, Housing has the major spending in Malaysia whereas Japan highest spending in goods and servies. It is also noticeable that both contries allocated less expenditures in health care category.
In Japan, goods and services conatian 34% which is their largest expenditure. Food was the second higest accounting 24%, followed by housing and Transport at 21% and 20% respectively. Health care represent the smallest proportion at 6%.
Whereas, in Malaysia, housing covers a large proportion of expenditure accounting at 34%. Food was the second at 27%, while spending at goods and services at 26% which was slightly lower than Japan, followed by transport accounting at 10%. Health care has the lowest spending which is at 3% and both countires has the smallest expenditure in this category.
In summmary, both countries has the similar expenditure patterns in some areas, noticable differences espically with goods and sercives as well as food category.
