The given maps compare the current layout of a university sport center and after the planning improvement.
Overall, the sport center of the university will undergo some significant shift, transforming from a basic-condition and mainly outdoor-court site to a modern, indoor-oriented sport center. The major changes include many extensions of existing departments and a lot of the introductions of sports infrastructures. This is made way by the loss of outdoor spaces.
Regarding the present layout, the center is located between two outdoor courts. There is a pool measuring 25 meters, which is surrounded by a gym to it’s north, a changing room to the west, and a seating area to pool’s east. Moreover, the southern section of the map features a reception area, situated directly opposite the entrance door at the bottom.
Turning to the planning map, the center will still feature the untouched changing room, the entrance, the seating area and the reception, with the extension of the gym, whereas the two outdoor courts will be destroyed completely. Moving to the right section of the map, there will be a sport hall nearby the seating space, opposite to two new dance studio to its right hand, with a cafe and a larger changing room at the bottom-right corner. The northwestern part of the sport center will be dominated by a large leisure pool, an adjacent changing room only for men, followed by a new sport room.
