Overall, among 5 countries, the imbalance in female workforce was minimal, while the reverse was true for women as managers. In addition, women hold fewer management roles relative to their general workforce participation rate, excepting Australia and The United States.
Regarding female workers, Japan took the lead at 48%, followed closely by the United States, where 46% of employees were women. The proportion of Australia and Sri Lanka varied slightly at roughly 40%, doubling the figure for Egypt (20%).
In terms of manager women, both Australia and The United States represented the same rate, by 43%, which were the highest. Compared to that, the figures for Japan and Egypt were significantly lower, at 17% and 12%, respectively. Lastly, women as managers in Sri Lanka lagged behind, at only 9%.
