The two maps compare the layout of the Felixstone in 1967 and 2001.
Overall, the infrastructure around the Felixtone underwent significant improvements, with the addition of more facilities and reorganization in some places making it more modernized.
In 1967, Felixtone was a relatively underdeveloped coastal town with several recreational and commercial features. On the northern side, there were two shops along the High Street, with a golf course to the west and farmland to the east. Along the southern coastline, a hotel was located next to small areas of dunes, while café was nearby. In the eastern coastal area, there was a fish market and a marina, with a pier extending into the sea. This side appeared to be more commercial, serving fishing activities.
Over the years, the town had undergone significant transformation, particularly toward tourism and residential development. The golf course and shops remained unchanged, however, the farmland was replaced with apartments, and the area now included a swimming pool, tennis courts, and a modern hotel. The fish market, marina, and pier were completely removed. On the western coastal side, wind turbines were installed near the sea, and a car park was added next to the hotel, which remained in its original position. The coastline itself was now divided into a public beach and a private beach, reflecting a stronger focus on tourism and leisure.
