It is clear that there was a downtrend in the number of foreigners visiting XCountry from 2007 to 2008, and the main sources of tourists came from China, Japan and Australia. It is also noted that annual revenue of various businesses declined in the given period.
In 2007, the number of foreign tourists coming from China and Japan stood at 3000, making it the highest figure. Additionally, the figures for international tourists from Australia, the US and Canada and Europe were lower, at around 2500, 2300 and 2100 respectively. In the next year, the number of Chinese and Japanese tourists declined dramatically to 2000, which was 1000 higher than European tourists and about 1600 more than American and Canadian tourists. Moreover, the number of Australian tourists was 2500 which was the highest figure in this year.
In terms of annual income in XCountry, in 2007, hotel and resort earned 3.5 million dollars, which was considerably more than restaurant, bar & souvenir shops (2.4), tour guides, small vendors and other services (1.4) and transportation & travel agent (1.3). By 2008, revenues from hotel & resort dropped by 3 millions, dining options halved to 1.2 millions, tour services decreased to 1.1 millions and transportation and travel agent fell to 0.4 millions.
