Overall, it is notable that significantly higher number of tourists visited in 2019 compared to 2020. Additionally, tourism industry in X country generated much more annual income in 2019.
According to the bar chart, Chinese stand out for having the highest number of visits at 3000, followed closely by Japanese at around 2800 in 2019. Meanwhile, the number of tourists from European countries and Northern America stood at above 2000 in 2019. However, 2020 saw a decline of between 300 and 2100 tourist visits in each country, with US and Canada trailing behind with the least figure.
In terms of the table, hotel and resort saw the biggest fall in the amount of revenue per year, from $3.5mln in 2019 to $0.5mln in 2020. While earnings from restaurant, bar and souvenir shops halved, accounting for $1.2mln in 2020, the figure for transport and travel agent, which started at $1,3mln in 2019 decreased threefold one year later. The final businesses are tour guides, small vendors and other services, which witnessed not much drop in the volume of annual income, remaining above $1mln in each year.
