Initially, a greater number of purchases of electric cars are made in China. It started with around 0.3 million in 2016, which soared up to 8 million in 2023. In all the years, China was the leading country except in 2020, which had only 1 million sales i.e., less than the sales of Europe.
The second country to have more number of purchases after China, is Europe.
