The bar chart compares the proportion of unqualified people across various age groups in the United Kingdom in the year of 2009.
Overall, the figure of both non-qualified men and women generally increased across different age groups. The highest percentage was recorded among women aged 50-59/64, while the lowest figure was seen also among women aged 17-19.
To begin with, the two youngest groups followed a similar pattern, when the proportion of men without any qualifications were higher than that of women, at about 7% and 8% compared with approximately 6% and 7% respectively. During the early adolescence (25-29 years) and middle adolescence periods both men and women had almost the same figure (about 8%)
In contrast, when people started their 40th years, the pattern altered. Women aged 40-49 began at slightly above 10% and had a rapid growth in almost 10% by the age 50-59/64. As the non-qualified man showed at 10% and also experienced a steady rise until roughly 17%.
