It can be noted that the total figures of employment between 2009 and 2019 showed a steady rise, from 1,000 to 1,200.
In detail, the proportion of employment in the Hotel sector was the highest compared to the other four sectors, at 299.2 in 2009. Meanwhile, the figures for employment in the Sports and Food sectors stood at 284.7 and 283.4 respectively. 82.8 thousand jobs were highlighted in Culture sector, whereas the lowest proportion was represented by the Travel sector, at a mere 60.9.
Over the next ten years, the trend for the Hotel sector rose slightly to 306, followed by the Food and Sports sectors, at 357.7 and 345.7 respectively. It can be noted that the Food sector represented the highest proportion of employment in 2019. Interestingly, the Travel sector, at 114.2, accounted for almost twice as much as its proportion in 2009, at 60.9. However, the number of jobs in the Culture sector declined to 77.4, maintaining the lowest proportion at all times.
It can be understood that the Food and Sports sectors exhibited dramatic increases over the time frame, followed by the Hotel sector. Moreover, a rapid rise was highlighted in the Travel sector over the period. The trend for the Culture sector was the least popular among the other four sectors.
