Every year the most used social media platform seems to be YouTube especially in 2020 where the world went under lockdown due to corona virus and people were bored so watching youtube was a great way to cure boredom. Instagram and Twitter were the least visited of given social media platforms where in 2018 there were more Twitter users than Instagram users but by next year it had turned around. When comparing Instagram and Twitter with other platforms it is clear that these two media outlets had the least amount of users. By 2020 WhatsApp made a significant jump, there were more users than ever before whereas Facebook’s users were decreasing.

In conclusion Australians were most fond of YouTube in all three years following facebook which kept decreasing and WhatsApp which had a significant rise of popularity in 2020.
