The chart demonstrates the amount of daily users on popular social media websites like: Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn between 2010 and 2022.

Overall, Instagram has seen significant rise in number of daily users ever since it came out in 2012. LinkedIn’s and Twitter’s everyday use increases steadily although not to the extent of their competitor, Instagram.

In 2012, Instagram had less than 100 million daily users. This was also the only year when Instagram’s rivals were ahead. Following 2012 it has been dominant, with each passing year; it surpasses other platforms. In 2022, over 700 million active users where on Instagram.

Among Twitter and LinkedIn, the latter has more day-to-day engagement than the former. Every year their competition has been very close unlike Instagram who has massively outperformed them. 2012, 2014 and 2016 were the only year Twitter had more relevance than LinkedIn. The remaining years, LinkedIn managed to overtake Twitter.
