The bar chart illustrates the number of girls per 100 boys participating in primary, secondary, and tertiary education in developing and developed countries in 1990 and 1998. Overall, it can be seen that the number of female students in developed countries is higher than in developing countries, while the number of students has increased slightly over time.
In terms of primary and secondary education in developed countries, there was the same pattern of female student enrollment, which stayed at almost the same numbers, with 100 students in 1990 and 1998. Although there were just over 80 students who went to the primary school in both years in developing countries, there was a slight decrease in secondary education, which accounted for around 70 students in 1990.
Tertiary education showed a significant difference between developing and developed countries. The enrollment in developing countries was lower than 80 female students in both years. However, it showed that a high number of more than 100 students had enrolled in the tertiary school in developed countries.
