The bar chart compares the number of trips using cars by males and females for five main purposes per day in a European city.

Overall, the number of women who use cars for visiting friends and shopping is higher than men, while the opposite is true for the remaining purposes.

Looking at the figure for European women, approximately 275 women who take a car trip for shopping, the highest among the other purposes. The number of car trips for visiting friends and travelling to work was lower with around 210. Followed by over 125 women using cars for sport/entertainment and only nearly 25 on day trips.
