Overall, the number of women who use cars for visiting friends and shopping is higher than men, while the opposite is true for the remaining purposes.
Looking at the figure for European women, approximately 275 women who take a car trip for shopping, the highest among the other purposes. The number of car trips for visiting friends and travelling to work was lower with around 210. Followed by over 125 women using cars for sport/entertainment and only nearly 25 on day trips.
Looking at the figure for European men, more than 350 car trips taken by men for travelling to work per day, making it stays at the first place. For visiting friends and shopping, there are around 185 car trips, the number of men who take a car trip for sport/entertainment was slightly lower, with under 145. At the least, there are only over 25 car trips taken by men for day trips.
