The Bar chart depicts the number of new motorcycles sold by Harley Davidson and BMW between 2010 and 2020. From the chart we can see that Harley Davison’s motorcycle sales is on the diminishing trend whereas BMW motorcycle sales is on the increasing trend. From 2010 to 2020, BMW motorcycle sales have almost doubled, and Harley Davidson’s motorcycle sales have reduced to half. By the end of 2020 more people are now buying BMW’s motorcycle as compared to Harley Davidson.
It is evident that Harley Davidson had more than double the amount of motorcycle sales in 2010 as compared to BMW. Harley Davison’s motorcycle sales have decreased by around 10% every 2 years, on the contrary BMW’s motorcycle sales have gone up by almost 10% every 2 years.
Despite having almost double the number of sales in 2010, Harley Davison’s motorcycle sales reached a break even point with BMW motorcycle sales in 2018 due to the negative growth as compared to positive sales growth of BMW motorcycles. Finally in the year 2020, BMW’s motorcycle sales went past Harley Davidson’s motorcycle sales and BMW is selling almost 40% more motorcycles than Harley Davidson.
