A glance at the bar chart provided reveals some striking in the change of the distances traveled by individuals in the UK across various models transport during the period 1990 and 2000 such as bicycle, motorbike, ari, bus, rail.
Overall, the graph showed a significant increase in the total distance traveled using all forms of transportation. Bus and rail recorded similarity tendency, which recorded the highest figures in both years, whereas bicycle, motorbike, ari accounted for lower comparison.
In 1990, buses were the most commonly used form of transport with approximately 40 billion passenger kilometers, followed closely by rail, which recorded slightly lower figures. In 2000, both transports peaked at nearly 45 billion passenger kilometers.
At the same time, in 1990, motorbike was the highest figure of transport reaching a peak of nearly 10 billion kilometers. The second was bicycles and the lowest was ari with just a modest 5 billion. By contrast, in 2000 air travel had increased to reached approximately 10 billion passenger kilometers, while both bicycle and motorbike dropped. In 2000, the total distance travelled of five transports was an increase of around 10 billion compared to the one of 1990.
