The bar chart compares the length of journey taken by passangers on five forms of transportation in the UK between 1990 and 2000.
Overall, the total distance traveled by people increaced sligthly over a decade. Moreover, trains and buses were most common means of transportation while air, bicycles and motorcycles were rarely used regardless the time.
The distance covered by buses and rail showed much bigger figures compared to other categories. The amount of distance covered by them despite starting at different point, approximately 45 and 43 billion kilometers in 1990, both reached their higest share of 48 billion kilometers in 2000.
By contrast, the figures were smaller for remaining categories. People traveled shorter distance by bicycles and motorbike, approximately, 6 and 7 billion kilometers than these figures is seen decreases to 5 and 6 billion kilometers, respectively.
Air travel was also considered a less-used means of transport starting at 4 billion kilometers, it experienced slight increase to 6 billion kilometers at the end
