Overall, more women participated in regular exercise than men. Between the ages of 15-24, a higher proportion of men were physically active compared to women. However, starting from age 25, the percentage of women participating in physical activity surpassed that of men.
Young men between the ages of 15 and 24 exercised more than women. After age 24, women started to do more physical activity than men with around 50 per cent compared to men only around 40 per cent. Whilst, older people aged more than 64 in Australia did around 46% of physical exercises for both males and females.
