Overall, internet access has risen in these European countries from 2007 to 2019. From 2007 to 2019, Germany’s population has had more access to the internet when compared to the UK and Spain.
The connectivity to the internet in Germany increased from 70% in 2007 to around 90% in 2013 and then remained stable until 2019. Again, in the UK, internet access had a steady rise from 60% in 2007 to approximately 90% in 2019. Whereas in Spain, there was exponential growth from 40% to 90% in the period 2007 to 2019.
In summary, over the 12 years, there was a huge increase in access to the internet in Germany, the UK, and Spain. From around 50% of the population, to approximately 90% of the people, are accessing the internet in these European countries.
