The bar chart presents the percentage of usage of internet of certain groups of age in the four countries of UK, Germany, France, and Italy. Overall, the percentage of usage is significantly higher in younger age groups, such as 16-24, and it starts to decline until the last age group presented, 55+. In average, the country with the gratest stadistics of usage is the UK, contrary to Italy which has the lowest overall.
First of all, there can be seen a constant decrease in all the 4 countries for the first 3 age groups. UK, Germany, France start with a percentage that surpases the 80%, while Italy is just below it. In the 25-34 and 35-44 age groups this percentages have the constant change just mentioned until they reach a percentage lower than 80%, showing a decrease aproximately of 10% each, with Frances having the gratest fall.
On the other hand, for the next age group, from 45 to 54 years, the usage of internet has a plunge in its percentages for all the countries depicted. In average, all countries drop 20% but Germany suffers the less with a decline smaller than this value.
Finaly, in the last age group illustrated, it is highlighted that the gratest change overall. In this age group, the country with the bigest percentage of online users is Germany rather than UK. Germany’s internet usage is nearly over the 40%, in compariton to the other 3 countries that are below this value. At the end, Italy continues to be the lowest of all with a percentage around 30% followed by France, which is just above.
