The provided bar chart depicts the amount of individuals (in three categories) in percentages, which consumed 5 servings of fruit and vegeteables in the United Kingdom between 2001 and 2008.
Overall, the 3 groups followed the same patterns throughout the years and all of them had risen since the beginning of the time frame. The children experienced the greatest difference, roughly doubling their consumption, while men and women also experienced a significant growth.
Looking closely at the data, from 2001 to 2006 the women went through a substantial increase (from 21% to 35%) and then dipped to 30% in 2008. Even though they were the biggest, the diffrence between the men and women was not nearly as big in 2007 than it was in 2003 (from 10% down to 3%), indicating that while the men were flat in the start, the women gradually increased in the same period.
Furthermore, between the years of 2001 and 2003 both men and children remained the same, at approximately 17% and 12%, respectively. By 2007, both of the groups skyrocketed by roughly 10% points and 13% points, consequently the children have tightened the gap. Both of the groups decreased marginally by around 2% points.
