The bar chart compares three different means of population, the percentages of men, women and children in the UK who consumed the recommended daily amount of fruits and vegetables in 2002,2006 and 2010.
It is clear from the graph that women had the highest figures in all three years, whereas the children had the lowest percentages. Overall, the statistics between three groups increased in 2002 and 2006 but fell slightly in 2010.
In 2002, women were the most likely group to eat the recommended amount, accounting for 25% of the population. This was followed by man by 22%, and the last were children, 11%. In 2006, the percentages had risen considerably, the figures for women had reached to 32%. This indicator for men was 28% and 16% for children.
In 2010, the percentage of women fell to 27%, while the figure for men decreased to 24%. Similarly, the percentages of children dropped to 14%. Despite these declines, the figures for all three groups were higher than their levels in 2002.
