The given bar chart illustrates data about the proportion of male and female students who passed their high school graduation exams in six different subject from 2010 to 2011.
As can be seen from bar graph, Computer Science was the most favorable subject among the students, as most of them passed the competency exam. However, most of the people of each gender failed from Chemistry over the period.
In detail, Computer Science, one of the aforementioned subjects, had the highest competency rate with just above 56% of boys, and roughly 42% of girls. The second highest rates can be seen from the figures of Mathematics, which are almost half of boys and approximately 48% of girls. Moreover, just above 47% of boys, and just below 47% girls who entered the graduation exam of Foreign Languages, which include French, German and Spanish had passed.
In contrast to other subjects, Physics exams had approximately 37%, and nearly 35% of competency rate for boys and girls, respectively. In addition, roughly a quarter of boys and almost a quarter of girls passed from History exams, while the figures for Geography were a one-fifth, and just above 30% of boys and girls.Unfortunately, most of the students failed from the Chemistry exam, and only 30% of boys and roughly 14% of girls passed the exam.
