The given chart illustrates the proportion of students who succeed in passing their high school competency tests, divided into 2 main groups: subjects and gender disparity throughout the period of 2010-2011.
Overall, it can be seen evidently that the percentage of students passing the computer science test took the highest position, whilst there was a pronounced group taking the lowest rate in the quantity of students passing in geography, history and chemistry.
Looking at the bar chart specifically, students who passed the computer science exams were observed to be the greatest rate, comprising a hefty 56% for girls and 42.1% for boys. At the same time, there were similar figures in students managing to pass mathematics and foreign languages, namely French, German and Spanish, representing around 47% to 49% for both boys and girls.
On the contrary, a group with a lower proportion of students passing competency exams, including physics, chemistry, history and geography. Similarly, a noticeable figure was recorded in students passing the physics exams, at nearly 37% and 35% for girls and boys respectively. While the number of students taking the chemistry tests showed a considerable difference, making up 30% and 14% in the order given.
