Similarly, the number of students aged 25-29 rose rapidly, while the oldest group (40 plus) increase slightly from about 40% to nearly 60%.
According to the table, the average paid work per week was 5 hours in 1983 but climbed to 14.4 hours in 2003, three times greater than before. Despite this, the average years to complete a degree also increased from 3 years to 4 years, showing that students maybe found harder to focus on study.
