Overall, the unemployed rates of men were remarkably higher than those for women. Both genders shows fluctuations throughout the period, with its peaking in october of each year.

In 2008, the rates began at 10% in first month and it goes stand steady until July. Nonetheless it rose sharply to 16% in October. On the other hand, womens had a lower level of about 7%. In January, with only 4% it reached at 11% in October.

In 2009, the same trend was observed. Male’s unemployment started at 12% in January and increasedd, peaking at 22% in October. Females experienced a gradual rise from 10% in January to 15% in October.
