The bar graph illustrates the percentage of English individuals of various age groups who were living in one-person households in 2011. The number of bedrooms in these houses in the same year is presented in the pie chart.
Overall, it can be seen that most of the occupants were females compared to males. Moreover, most of the houses had either 1 or 2 bedrooms.
A bigger proportion of the individuals living on their own in the yaer 2011 was dedicated to women aged 65 or above. While in the age range from 16 to 49, males constituted a bigger part of the English population living alone, with the highest proportion being almost 65% for the age group of 35-49. On the other hand, women aged 85 and above formed about 75% of the age group.
In the same year, most of the households occupied by only one person had 3 bedrooms with 35.4%. Following that were one and four-bedroom houses constituting respectively 28% and 29% of the pie graph. Only a small number of houses had 5 or more bedrooms with a sole occupant which accounted for 1.4 % of homes.
