The bar chart above helps us see the growth and contribution from India’s agriculture, industry and service sectors over the past 40 years, from 1960 to 2000.
In general, all sectors have grown and developed. However, although agriculture dominated initially, it has been steadily declining . In the early 1960 , we can easily see that agriculture dominated with the highest starting point at 62%, followed by industry at 15% and services at 17% . By 1970, agriculture began to show signs of decreasing to 54%. On the contrary, industry and services tended to increase by 3-4% compared to before. In 1980, we can easily see that industry increased to 25%, and services increased to 27% . By 1990, contrary to the development of the other two sectors, agriculture continued to decline at 31%. Industry still maintained stability while services grew strongly to a rate of 45% . Finally, in 2000, continued decline led to agriculture remaining at only 13%. However, industry remained stable at 25%, and the successful service sector increased dramatically to 62% .
Through the above bar chart, we can easily see the contribution and development of the three sectors. Agriculture had a promising start but tended to decrease over time. Industry increased and remained stable from 1980 to 2000. finally, there is the huge contribution of the service industry with the highest growth among the three sectors
