The presented column graph illustrates percentile data of three sectors, agriculture, industry, and services including their role in India’s gross domestic product in the four decades from 1960 to 2000.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is evident that overall, services and agriculture field made highest contributions and agriculture department faced plummeting rate whereas, industrial area surged up listing on top in the end. However, industrial contribution was overall lowest over all the years.
At a glance, it can be seen that agriculture sector was highest in the year 1960 by more than 60 percent followed by 55, 45, 31 percentiles over the years and marked the lowest in 2000 by 15 percent. Whereas, the industrial field was at 15 percent in 1960, which gradually increased over years followed by an increase of more than 10 percent in 1970 and maintained constant trade over next years at 25 percent.
Moreover, it can be seen the services area showed a steady escalation in the foremost years for 16 percent in the year 1960, and further an incline by 24 and 28 percents in 1970 and 1980 respectively. However, industry made a significant jump by almost 45 percent in 1990 and listed as topmost in 2000 by percentile of more than 60 percent.
